Dr. Lori Gerard
Dr. Lori Gerard is board certified in endocrinology. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and completed internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado. She served as Chief Medical Resident in internal medicine and completed a fellowship at the University of Colorado with specialty training in diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolism.
Treating all areas of endocrinology, Dr. Gerard specializes in thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, osteoporosis, calcium disorders, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational). She has had extensive training on the management and surveillance of thyroid cancer, and special training in thyroid ultrasonography.
Dr. Gerard has been active in research studies involving inhaled insulin therapy, newer insulin analogs, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose monitoring. She is also involved in multidisciplinary studies related to glucose control strategies during pregnancy and improved neonatal outcomes.
When not with patients, Dr. Gerard enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She revels in Colorado’s great outdoors and loves mountain biking and skiing.
Dr. Linda Buckley
Dr. Linda Buckley is a board certified endocrinologist specializing in thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, pituitary, adrenal disorders, disorders of bone and calcium and diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2). She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado and completed her residency in internal medicine and a chief residency at the University of Colorado. She completed her fellowship with specialty training in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
Dr. Buckley is certified in thyroid ultrasound and thyroid gland biopsy, important in the diagnosis and management of thyroid nodules and cancer. She has expertise in the use of advanced genomic testing for thyroid nodules. Dr. Buckley is active in the close management of diabetes and utilizes advanced technologies and expertise in insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring. Prior to starting private practice, she gained extensive clinical and research experience in metabolic disorders, nutrition, weight gain and appetite and has spoken nationally on her research.
Dr. Buckley is a 4th generation Coloradan, born and raised in the Denver metro community. She has three children, is a ski enthusiast, and enjoys running, golfing, hiking, and good food.
Dr. Kelsi Deaver
Dr. Deaver is a board-certified Endocrinologist, receiving her fellowship training at the University of Colorado. She completed her medical degree at Creighton University and then trained at Exempla Saint Joseph hospital in Denver for her Internal Medicine residency. She is trained in all areas of Endocrinology, and has specific interest in treating thyroid disorders, thyroid cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, obesity, PCOS, transgender health, as well as adrenal, pituitary and calcium/parathyroid disorders. Her research experience includes the evaluation and management of thyroid nodules, hypothyroidism and pituitary tumors.
Dr. Deaver is a Colorado native and enjoys live music, hiking, taking zumba dance classes and walking around the amazing parks of Denver with her family and black labrador Billie.
Dr. Rebecca Jeffers
Rebecca Jeffers is a board-certified endocrinologist who received her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR and went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA. She completed her endocrinology fellowship at the University of Colorado. She is trained in all areas of endocrinology including diabetes (type 1 and type 2), weight management, transgender care and disorders of calcium/bone, the adrenal glands, the thyroid, the pituitary gland, and the reproductive axis. During fellowship, she also participated in a research project analyzing continuous glucose monitoring data for overweight/obese patients participating in a weight loss intervention and completed a quality improvement project to help increase the provision of contraception and preconception counseling for women with diabetes. Through her training, she has found that she is passionate about helping patients understand their disease states and empowering them to take control of their health in a personalized approach.
Rebecca also enjoys cooking, and spending time with her friends and family, and exploring new hiking trails with her pit bull, Huxley.
Stacey Mitchell - Nurse Practitioner
Stacey Mitchell is a board certified Nurse Practitioner, specializing in endocrinology. She received her BA in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado, and later pursued her BSN from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, graduating with honors. She then obtained a Master of Science degree from the University of Colorado, College of Nursing, and became accredited as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
Stacey worked for eight years as a certified diabetes educator and continues to conduct diabetes research. She participates in multiple aspects of endocrinology care, particularly diabetes and thyroid management. Trained in advanced assessment, diagnosis and management of multiple medical problems, Stacey provides personal care with compassion and attention.
Stacey enjoys tap dancing and spending time with her family. Together, they enjoy the outdoors and camping in the summer.
Emily Griffith - Nurse Practitioner
Emily Griffith is a board-certified Adult and Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She received a Bachelor of Arts in social sciences from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science of Nursing from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. Later, she completed her Master of Science degree from the University of Colorado.
Prior to joining Denver Endocrinology, Emily worked at the University of Colorado Hospital as a bedside nurse on the inpatient oncology, bone marrow transplant, and medicine unit. She also served on the hospital’s Diabetes Education Committee.
Outside of her love for patient care, Emily enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and cheering for Kansas City sports teams. She also likes spending time with friends and family, and anything that gets her out and about in the beautiful Colorado sunshine.
Tanya Mikhael - Nurse Practitioner

Before joining Denver Endocrinology, Tanya’s career path included diverse roles such as an Assistant Professor of Nursing, bedside nurse specializing in inpatient neurology, and a research nurse in fields like neurology, oncology, and bone marrow transplant.
Outside of her professional life, Tanya has a variety of interests. She enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and foraging for wild plants, and connecting with nature. Her personal time is largely dedicated to spending quality moments with her family, friends, and her beloved cat named “Cow baby.”
Danielle Williams- Nurse Practitioner
Danielle Williams has been a board-certified Nurse Practitioner since 2017 and is board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management since 2020
While in Pittsburgh, she worked as a critical care nurse for 6 years until joining the Center for Diabetes and Endocrine Health with Allegheny Health Network in 2017 as a nurse practitioner. Danielle relocated to the Denver area in 2020, providing care as a family nurse practitioner and then joining West Denver Endocrinology in 2022 until the practice closed in May 2025.
Danielle believes in utilizing evidence-based practice to partner with patients to achieve their individual health goals. She is dedicated to providing compassionate patient-centered care.
Outside of her work in endocrinology, Danielle enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and camping with her husband, gardening, and reading.
Christy Beyerly- RD, CDCES

Christy Beyerly is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with over 25 years of experience spanning diabetes program management, primary care diabetes case management, and specialty endocrinology. As a certified insulin pump trainer, she is especially passionate about helping clients optimize their use of diabetes technology.
She earned a Bachelor of Science from South Dakota State University and completed her internship at the Medical College of Virginia. She was a USAF Captain managing Nutrition Services at Eglin AFB, then a Diabetes Case Manager for Kaiser Permanente before moving to Colorado. After managing the ADA recognized diabetes program at Parker hospital for many years, she was the lead RD and diabetes educator at New West Physicians before joining Denver Endocrinology and Thyroid.
Christy enjoys hiking, camping, travel and skiing with her family and dog Daisy. Of course, she’s a foodie and a gluten-free cooking and baking enthusiast.
