As you may be aware, many local hospitals have lifted or are in the process of lifting mask mandates. We will plan to place OPTIONAL masking requirements for all providers, staff, patients and visitors on 3/20/2023 . DEDTC will not require providers, patients & visitors to wear masks with the following exceptions:
- Patients who are experiencing any respiratory symptoms (cough, SOB, fever)* Will be required to wear a mask
Providers & staff that feel more comfortable masking will continue to wear masks as they are exposed to many infections throughout the day and we respect the need to protect themselves & their loved ones
While mask requirements will be optional as of 3/20/23, we care for a vulnerable patient population. Therefore, we ask all providers, staff, patients & visitors to continue to wear a mask if you are experiencing any cold or flu s symptoms or have family members at home who is ill. This will help to keep each out and our patients safe.
